WXOS 101 ESPN Ready To Launchby Frank | Tue, 12/30/2008 - 4:36pmAs the new ESPN affiliate for St. Louis in 2009, 101 ESPN has signed on two major sports broadcast rights partnerships – with the St. Louis Rams NFL franchise and Saint Louis University Billikens men’s basketball. The station’s daily programming line-up has been announced. Each week day WXOS will broadcast ESPN Radio programming from 12:00 until 5:00 am, followed by the nationally syndicated “Mike & Mike In the Morning” show with co-hosts Mike Golic and Mike Greenberg from 5:00 until 9:00 am. 101 ESPN will then broadcast the “Best of Mike & Mike” from 9:00 until 10:00 am. Local programming will follow, starting with “Parris & Burwell” featuring FOX Sports Midwest’s Pat Parris and St. Louis Post-Dispatch columnist Bryan Burwell as co-hosts from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm. “The Fast Lane” featuring veteran St. Louis radio journalists Randy Karraker, D’Marco Farr and Bob Ramsey will follow from 2:00 until 6:00 pm. Other locally produced shows that will be featured regularly include “101 Instant Replay”, “101 Sportsline” show with Tom Casey and Brian Feldman, as well as Brian Stull. 101 ESPN will also provide specialty sports programming with top names in St. Louis sports journalism serving as featured hosts. KSDK Sports Director Rene Knott will helm “314 Sports” on Saturday mornings from 8:00 to 10:00 am, along with co-hosts Larry Thornton and Anthony Atencio. The Post-Dispatch’s Cardinals columnist Derrick Goold will co-host “The Hot Stove” on Sunday mornings from 8:00 to 10:00 am along with Brian Feldman. And Bob Ramsey will also host a one-hour coach’s show “The Rick Majerus Show” on Monday evenings from 6:00 to 7:00 pm.
